Meeting State Farm

One of our meetings with State Farm is coming up and the Tiger Ambassadors can't wait to show all the hard work we put in our projects and presentations for schools and the community. We are in great progress on our presentations and especially our projects. This year two of our ambassadors have been working on a game about safe driving. Also, we have been working on power points for all age groups. We even are finishing our activity book for the younger children. As for the teens we are creating mini films about driving. As time goes by the Tiger Ambassadors are thinking of ideas and finding better ways to aware people of dangerous driving. Once again we thank State Farm for helping us and we can't wait to meet!

Jain Lane Campus Presentation

On December 14, 2012 the Tiger Ambassadors will be presenting a power-point for the 5th and 6th graders about safe driving. The media relations team has brought together a power point that will help spread the word about safe driving. By presenting we will gain confidence and knowledge because if we present the power-point  and it ends up being effective then we will have succeeded in awaring people about driving safely. We will be presenting to the future geniuses and will acknowledge State Farm for helping us.

Promotions

Recently we have sent out papers giving information on how to become a member of the Youth Advisory Board. The Y.A.B is a sort of promotion  for the Tiger Ambassadors. We recruited students who have the qualities of a Tiger Ambassador as well and many replied in an essay. All were great but only a few were accepted. The Y.A.B and Tiger Ambassadors are currently going to work together to help aware people of safe driving and healthy living.

Back to School on a New Campus

Recently we have moved to a new school and let me just say this now, it looks amazing. I'm very excited as an 8th grader because the school is a big upgrade to our previous school where our 4th,5th, and 6th graders are located at. When I first walked in, I was shocked by how nice our gym was. We had almost every new teacher for every class which is fantastic because it's good to be friends with your teachers because then you'll get used to their rules and class will pass by with ease.  New school year and new faces. Making friends seems really good at our school now that we added grades and more kids enrolled in. I hope this school year will be great.

Tiger Ambassador Pride

It has been almost two months since us, Tiger Ambassadors got our T-Shirts. As soon as we got our shirts we were so anticipated to put them on but, had to say our goodbyes to our peers. To be honest, I was so happy I put it on as soon as I got home to show my parents and siblings. I don't know about the others but, once school starts I would love to wear it on every Friday for School Spirit.
FRONT: Sorry for the blur but, it basically has a tiger paw with the groups initials and located at the bottom of it is our school name, East Austin College Prep.

BACK:  Again, sorry for the blur. It says what the meaning of Tiger Ambassadors are.
ti-ger  am-bas-sa-dor
Noun:
A group of leaders determined to make a difference.
At the very bottom of the back is the logo for our most giving sponsor, State Farm.

Starting School

School's starting and that means you need to sleep early, eat right, and get school supplies. No more sleeping late and eating little treats, you need to have energy for school. It is always said that sleeping on time or at least for eight hours and eat breakfast everyday it won't be so hard to wake up. Nobody likes going to school but, school is a very important necessity to life. Going to school helps you better your education and could help you get a good job and whatever else you need in life.

Upcoming Presentation

We are happy to say that State Farm was very impressed with what we presented at our last presentation. State Farm was so thrilled that we are scheduling another presentation with them on September 15th and are prepared  to show them what we improved and whats new. We are also planning to show up at the occasional food bank for the community on Friday, July 13th at our school. We plan to pass out brochures and other State Farm materials.  After all, they do sponsor us and after all they've done they deserve to be heard about. We plan to set up more meetings to update our presentations, blogs, and short films.
